Rhode Skin has just dropped one of its best campaigns to date, partnering with Alexandra Saint Meluex. Beyond the ethereal images from the marketing campaign, there’s much more to why it stands out as Rhode’s best yet.
On November 1st I was scrolling away on Instagram when I saw the first photos of the Rhode fall phone case campaign. I was immediately shocked to see one of my favorite Influencers, Alexandra Saint Meleux, as the face of the campaign and immediately wanted to buy the phone case.
For some background, Rhode Skin launched in November 2021 by Hailey Bieber to “keep your skin happy and hydrated”. With Hailey Bieber being a trendsetter in her own right, the brand exploded from the start. One of its first products to go viral was the Peptide Lip Treatment, which, to this day, remains one of the hardest products to get ahold of.
Alexandra Saint Meleux is a rising ‘it-girl’. She gained attention on the internet for her relationship with Ferrari Formula 1 (F1) driver Charles Leclerc and her iconic fashion style. She’s become a fan favorite among F1’s WAGs (wives and girlfriends) and has been a key figure in the sport’s growing female viewership. Much of this increase can be credited to the success of Netflix’s Drive to Survive and the rise of F1 content on TikTok.
For the past year Alexandra has been posting subtle product placements for Rhode, building a natural connection between her and the brand. This campaign feels both authentic and aspirational due to Alexandra’s ongoing use of the products.
The campaign was shot by French photographer Pierre-Ange Carlotti, whose work is, in my opinion, a key reason the campaign has been so well-received. His Parisian-chic style elevates the overall aesthetic.
