Whether you’re pulling inspiration from beloved characters or just looking for a chill night with roommates, these episodes are guaranteed to get you excited for this month’s festivities.

"Euphoria" – "The Next Episode" (Season 1, Episode 6)

While Rue worries about Jules and the fate of their relationship, Cassie faces a tough and confusing time with McKay. Kat explores her sexuality at the Halloween party they all attend and sparks a connection with Ethan. And they all look amazing in their costumes while doing it.

"Tell Me Lies" – "Evil, Ornery, Scandalous, and Evil" (Season 2, Episode 5)

It’s Halloween during Lucy’s sophomore year and Stephen’s senior year. Both have visitors come for the weekend, and tensions between them are high. Lucy sports a Britney Spears costume, and as they attend Halloween frat parties, secrets unfold and characters unravel. If you’re in college, this episode might feel all too reminiscent of similar experiences.

"Stranger Things" – "Chapter Two: Trick or Treat, Freak" (Season 2, Episode 2)

If a spooky mood is what you’re looking for, this episode is perfect. While the boys get ready for Halloween — and Max joins them — Will struggles with his lingering connection to the Upside Down. Nancy and Steve attend a Halloween party where an argument ensues, and Eleven and Hopper experience the first big bump in the road of their new relationship.

"Pretty Little Liars" – "The First Secret" (Season 2, Episode 13), "This Is ‘A’ Dark Ride" (Season 3, Episode 13), "Grave New World" (Season 4, Episode 13)

Feeling nostalgic for 2010s Halloween? Any of these Pretty Little Liars episodes is just what you need. Whether it’s the Season 2 flashback episode of the girls’ last Halloween with Alison, the Season 3 episode when the Liars take on the Rosewood Ghost Train, or the Season 4 episode where the teens visit Ravenswood, this spooky show will have you gripping your seat in anticipation and reveling in high school drama.

"Friends" – "The One with the Halloween Party" (Season 8, Episode 6)

Another Halloween throwback that’s sure to take you down memory lane is this iconic Friends episode. Monica throws a costume party at her apartment, sporting a Catwoman suit that rivals Phoebe’s Wonder Woman costume. Phoebe runs into her twin sister’s boyfriend, and secrets are revealed. Joey dresses up as Chandler, who spends the episode in a big pink bunny costume. Ross is a potato but claims to be “Sputnik,” while Rachel wears a simple black dress, knowing her pregnancy will keep her from wearing it in the coming months.

"The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" – "Ghost of 613" (Season 1, Episode 18)

The Suite Life of Zack & Cody is the perfect show to put on when you’re in the mood for some Disney nostalgia in October. The classic episode about a haunted hotel room transports you back to the 2000s. As rumors spread of a ghost residing in the hotel, Zack and Cody investigate. After pulling in London, Maddie, and Esteban, the group gets stuck in the haunted room, where they meet the ghost herself.

"The Vampire Diaries" – "Haunted" (Season 1, Episode 7)

Making an already spooky show even spookier, the vampires and other supernatural creatures of Mystic Falls attend their high school Halloween party. As Caroline sets up the event, Bonnie experiments with her newfound abilities. Damon discovers the town’s founders are catching on to the strange happenings around town. Meanwhile, Elena worries about Vicki struggling with her new vampire urges—fears that may manifest by the end of the night.

"New Girl" – "Halloween" (Season 2, Episode 6)

When you just want to turn off your brain and laugh, put on New Girl. In this Season 2 Halloween episode, Jess works at a local haunted house while navigating her complicated relationship with Sam. Schmidt annoys Cece, and Nick rekindles an old flame. The group all ends up at the haunted house, where Nick accidentally punches Jess in the face.
