Vivienne Westwood was a force to be reckoned with in the fashion world. Not only was she a female dominating the workforce, she was staying true to her personality while doing it. Westwood was a punk icon who inspired change and provoked emotions through her designs. Her originality gave a platform to an entire genre of fashion and design. As we mourn the loss of this legendary icon, it’s only right to celebrate her life as well. Throughout Westwood’s career we were given a surplus of iconic looks, designs and patterns. 1. Vivienne Westwood’s nod to the past
Westwood was known for embracing English looks and giving them a new life. She often intensified old fashion by overlaying many ideas in one piece.
2. Her impact on climate change
Throughout her career, Westwood was open about her opinions and concerns regarding climate change. Notably, she walked in her own Spring show wearing pieces that read, “climate revolution.”
3. Sex and the City cameo
Westwood’s designs appeared in Sex and The City. Sarah Jessica Parker wowed audiences with this number. The $23,000 gown was featured at Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big’s wedding.
4. The “Pirates” Collection
The Pirates collection is now legendary in the Westwood archives. She debuted this collection in her London Fashion week debut with then partner, Malcolm McClaren. This collection was known for its nod to antifashion and antiheroes.

This necklace is the classic Westwood logo. It features the sovereign's orb and the rings of Saturn. It is the perfect combination of Westwood’s knack for the past while embracing the future.
