Whether you have a spring birthday, are the go-to host for your friend group’s holiday get-togethers, or simply want to throw a good pregame or gathering, a theme always makes a party better. Now that spring is upon us, here are some themes that might make your party stand out.

High Tea – “I’m Turning Twen-TEA”
My friend, who inspired this article, turned 22 over the weekend and had an adorably themed party that produced many great pictures and even better memories. Of course, her theme was “I’m Turning Twen-TEA-Two,” but you can use this for any birthday in your 20s. With macarons, finger sandwiches, glasses of champagne, and of course, tea, this party turned out to be so cute. With a fun tea set and pastel-colored outfits, this theme is perfect for an aesthetically pleasing girls’ day out.
Sequins & Sushi
With sequins being one of the most popular fashion trends right now, it's the perfect opportunity for you and your friends to dress up in your favorite sequined pieces and come over for some sushi. There are so many different outfit ideas, from skirt-and-top sets to sequin mini shorts, and establishing a color palette makes it even more extra and fun. Whether you get the sushi catered or do a little DIY at home, it's bound to be a fun time with your girls. Pairing the sushi with a lychee martini or your favorite wine is also a great way to turn this into a pre-going-out gathering. The pictures are destined to shine. I’m So LUCKY to Have You
To talk about party themes in the spring, we cannot forget about St. Patrick's Day! If you’re the host of your friend group, this might help. First, for food and drinks, treats like Lucky Charms Rice Krispies treats and themed charcuterie boards should start you off in the right direction. You can never go wrong with green Jell-O shots, and by adding some blue edible glitter to your mimosas, you’ll have the perfect green, glittery drink for the day. Looking for an activity? Making “lucky” charm bracelets or bag charms is a fun way to incorporate crafts into the festivities. Don’t forget to wear your green!
When Life Gives You Lemons… Make Lemon Drops
Transitioning into warmer seasons makes all of us crave the most refreshing things—like citrus! Having a themed party centered around a certain food creates so many opportunities. For food and drinks, you can serve lemon bars, lemon meringue pie, and even lemon pasta. Paired with lemon drop martinis, lemonade, or lemon drop shots, you're guaranteed to have plenty of options. There are also many lemon-themed decorations, and coordinating a color palette full of yellows and pastels makes for a perfect photo op.
Garden Party
Finally, if you're looking for a way to make a dinner party a little more extravagant—whether it's a birthday dinner, a graduation dinner or just a fancy night with friends—a garden party is the way to go. With a long table full of fun dish-ware, flowers and candles, the aesthetics will be amazing. Having everyone bring food and share a big, family-style meal while dressed up in florals and gowns is such a fun way to spend time with friends, especially during a bittersweet occasion like graduation. Taking photos you’re guaranteed to reminisce on is one of the best parts of this party.
