67th Annual Grammy Nominations

Over the past year, artists have been writing, singing, and producing songs that match their personal vibe as well as the time of their life that they are in. New artists like Chappell Roan and Benson Boone, and experienced artists like Taylor Swift and Beyonce have all released albums that have reached record charts in 2024. These talents will be recognized at the annual Grammys Award ceremony taking place on February 2, 2025. Below are some of the nominations for some of the biggest categories. Record Of The Year


“Now and Then” by The Beatles 

  • This single is considered The Beatles last song, and was originally written in the late 60s and early 70s by John Lennon. The song was developed by Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. 


  • This song went viral on Tik Tok in the past year as Beyonce took a step into the country industry. With this song, Beyonce topped the Billboard charts becoming one of the only Black women to achieve number one. 


“Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter

  • One of the top songs of the year was Sabrina Carpenter’s new song from her album “Short n’ Sweet”. Also going viral on Tik Tok, this song quickly took over the country, and everyone’s playlists. 


“360” by Charli XCX

  • Charli XCX released her now viral album “Brat” which included this song. Quickly this album, and aesthetic took over lives across the country as people started to have a “Brat” summer. With its popularity, it makes sense that one of the songs is up for Record Of The Year. 


“BIRDS OF A FEATHER” by Billie Eilish 

  • Coming from her third studio album, Billie Eilish released a second single “Birds of a Feather”, which quickly reached the top of the charts soon after release. The song was co written with her brother Finneas O’Connell. 


“Not Like Us” by Kendrick Lamar 

  • In a continued battle against the rapper Drake, Lamar released this single this past year as a “diss track” to attack his character. The song describes a moral man who has something that he truly believes in. 


“Good Luck, Babe!” By Chappell Roan 

  • This single topped the charts as one of Chappell Roan’s first singles describing a lesbian relationship in which one woman is trying to deny her feelings for another woman. This song was her breakout song that put her on the map across the world.  


“Fortnight” by Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone  

  • This song was part of Taylor Swift’s 11th studio album in which she released 16 songs on the regular album, and 15 more songs on The Anthology. The song was written by Swift, Malone, and Jack Antonoff. 


Album Of The Year 

With some of the artists from above, eight artists were nominated for the entire album for Album Of The Year. This category focuses on all the songs on the album, the lyrics of the song as well as the overall beauty of the album. The albums reach across various genres of music.

  • “Djesse Vol. 4” by Jacob Collier

  • “THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT” by Taylor Swift 


Best New Artist

This category focuses on artists that had their debut this year or had a breakthrough album/song that was popular across the country.

Best Pop Solo Performance 

This category features artists that have singles or tracks that are solely the artist singing and provide the audience with an artistic performance.

  • “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” by Billie Eilish

Best Pop Duo/Group Performance 

 Similar to the category above, this category features the artist plus another artist performing an artistic performance for the audience. 


  • “Us.” by Gracie Abrams featuring Taylor Swift 

  • “LEVII”S JEANS” by Beyonce featuring Post Malone 

  • “Guess” by Charli XCX & Billie Eilish 

  • “The boy is mine” by Ariana Grande and Brandy & Monica
